Hi, I'm Elvis Santana
WHERE I COME FROM
Born and raised in Morrisania as a Dominican American resident of the Bronx, Elvis truly knows the struggles and common issues that the community is facing today. In 2015, Elvis was the first and only to be chosen from the White House Reach High Initiative by Michelle Obama to talk about his own accomplishments and how his involvement with the community matters. Since then, he has dedicated his time and effort to help thousands of Bronx residents find employment, safer environments, homes, and better opportunities that make everyday living easier.
A THRIVING CAREER
Over the last 10 years, Elvis has dedicated time and effort to ensure both men and women from all parts of the Bronx receive the opportunities available in order to continue calling the Bronx their home. Throughout all parts of New York, he has helped over 3,000 young men and women find employment while also creating relationships with local businesses that have helped reduce the low-income poverty rate in New York.
Simultaneously, Elvis was able to advocate and organize for local issues such as housing, homelessness, and environmental justice. Today, he leads in bridging the gap between schools and employment by producing true outcomes that all New York schools deserve. Community involvement, opportunities, and leadership are what make Elvis the only candidate to lead New York State District 79 to a better future.
